Releasing our Generation 3 Upgrades — A Progress Update

Emerging from beneath our proverbial rock

Our blog has been unusually quiet the last few months. I like to tell anyone who would listen that it was an intentional act of creating a sense of anticipation among our dedicated community of fans.

We have, however, been far from inactive. Behind the scenes, our team has been hard at work, pouring our energy into creating something big — the evolution of our software to Generation 3.

In the last 12 months:

• we have fully refactored our backend to enable more powerful search, retrieval, ranking, and matching of legal content; and

• we have also completely redesigned the frontend to be more intuitive and to address specific pain points raised by our users.

Rolling out in phases

Beginning in December 2023, we will start rolling out Generation 3 upgrades in phases. These are significant upgrades that continue to deepen our capability to deliver relevant and useful content to assist transactional lawyers with the work they do.

We're also revamping our website to showcase Generation 3's capabilities. You can expect richer content and imagery bringing to life how our new features will make legal work more efficient and insights more accessible.

A thoughtful approach to generative AI

Like many, we get frequent questions about integrating large language models and generative AI into our products. While powerful, this technology requires careful evaluation to determine where it can provide lasting value without compromising quality or ethics.

We have been diligently researching and testing potential applications to understand how generative AI could aid transactional lawyers' workflows. As with all product development, we remain committed to releasing features that deliver tangible, sustainable benefit to our users.
